Apports Angelique |
The
foundation bitches were Ch Apports Angelique and Ch
Dainty's Bachelor Girl who were cousins and linebred to
the foremost Swedish lines from the famous Mrs Mona Lilliehöök
of the Apport fame, being one of the pioneers of the breed
in Sweden. The pedigree included, except wellknown Apport
dogs, also Camrose, Anbria and Stubblesdown breeding. |

Both
of the bitches won CCs on their debuts and got titled easily.
Ch Dainty's Bachelor Girl who was bred by Mr Filip
Johnson, also won her field trial awards and became one of
wedens first bitches to gain the title of Int & Scand
Ch. They had excellet hips and eyes and were a sound start
of the family. |

Ch
Apports Song of Joy came a few years later as a compliment to
the breeding plans. The choice of studdogs fell on few of the top
sires of the 70ies like Davern Fergus and Country Boy's Golden Camillo. |
Gyrima
Moongleam

The
first UK import came in 1973 from the illustrious Gyrima
breeding. A couple of years later Gyrima Moongleam
(Ch Nortonwood Faunus-Ch Gyrima Pipparetta) arrived and
he can be found behind all Dewmist winner of today.
In
1977 Ch Gyrima Rosamund (Ch Gyrima Oliver-Ch Gyrima
Pipparetta) came and she had a remarkable career including
going Best In Show at the GRC National out of an entry of
350 Goldens, still the largest show in Sweden. Judges were
Mr Filip Johnson and Mrs Karin Eriksson.

The
same year Nortonwood Jasamanda
(Ch Camrose Cabus Christopher-Ch Ninell Charade of Nortonwood)
was imported and was mostly famous for being th dam of the
Multi Best In Show winner Ch Dewmist Chrysander. He
was the first Swedish bred Golden to win Best In Show at an
allbreed KC show, this was in Malmo in 1982 under the wellknown
Finnish allrounder Mr Hans Lehtinen.
