My heartfelt thanks to the committee of Crufts for the honour and privilege inviting me to judge at this highly prestigious show.

My sincere thanks also to the very sporting exhibitors and for letting me judge so many outstanding bitches.

As always when judging in the UK the depth of quality was striking and after close scrutiny the truly lovely Xanthos Debbie Does Dallas emerged as the ultimate CC winner.
She looked simply beautiful and showed faultlessly.

My co-judge Mrs Pat Tuck and I were in agreement for BOB and I was thrilled to see the majestic and smart moving Linirgor Mactavish being awarded Group 4 under gundog authority Dr Ron James.
Bearing in mind that fit for function and fit for life is certainly important in any gundog breed.

Shown in perfect bloom and coat and handled to advantage, could not be denied the top spot, a very worthy winner and pressed hard in the challenge. Well-balanced puppy looking just right for her age with a lovely outline and attitude. Feminine head and a sweet expression, good neck, front and bone, excellent ribs, nice topline and good backend. Powerful strongly built bitch but still feminine with a super outline. Attractive head and expression, well set on neck, good shoulders, well off for bone, excellent substance with plenty of heartroom, the best of toplines, really good quarters used to advantage on the move. Shown in fabulous coat and condition, moved with great drive and style. Well handled and presented.

Charismatic bitch in full bloom, kindest of heads and expressions, lovely neck which is well set on, very good front assembly, best legs and feet possible, splendid ribcage and depth of brisket and carrying the right amount of substance, excellent topline, particularly good behind with wonderful quarters and angulation , free moving bitch who strode round the ring effortlessly with long easy strides holding her topline perfectly on the move. She never put a foot wrong and her showmanship must be admired. Shown in immaculate gleaming coat and condition, handled to perfection. Pleased to award her the CC. Gorgeous bitch who oozes quality and looked a picture with a lovely outline, most attractive head and expression, elegant neck, very sound forehand construction, well off for bone, neat feet, good depth of brisket, perfect topline and tailset, powerful backend, shown in nice coat, moved well with excellent drive but perhaps not putting all in towards the end in the challenge, delighted to award her the R-CC

Elegant bitch in good condition. Lovely head and expression, reachy neck, good forechest, nice bone and feet, excellent substance, level back, good rear angulation, moves with drive and style, nice new coat but needs more for perfect balance, well presented

CHAMPION Dewmist Stravinsky created history by being the first Swedish owned and bred Golden to be shown in the UK and at Crufts. Mrs Valerie Foss awarded him an honourable 2nd place in the OPEN DOG CLASS out of 25 entries. Total entry was 546.
